In the Life Sciences industry where high levels of concentration and cognitive function are required, a Respite Node provides an opportunity to break away from typical workspaces for quiet respite or active rejuvenation, alone or together, indoors or outdoors. Having choice and control over where and how they seek rejuvenation supports individual wellbeing through a variety of postures, privacy levels, individual lighting controls, and access to amenities like power. Biophilic design principles can support a variety physical and biological responses, including lower blood pressure, improved mental attentiveness, and enhanced health responses in an otherwise fast-paced work environment.
