Units: Approximately 3,000
Description: Steelcase is implementing a product safety recall for Flex Mobile Power (FMP) units manufactured between August 2020 – January 2021. Flex Mobile Power is designed to stop working when batteries exceed normal operating temperature, but some units produced during this production period fail to do that and can overheat.
Every FMP unit has a serial number on the bottom. Only units from the production period (above) and having the following serial numbers (below), are in the scope of this recall.

Steelcase will replace and responsibly recycle all recalled units manufactured during this period, with new Flex Mobile Power units at no cost to the customer. Steelcase has confirmed through extensive testing and inspection that units from other production periods and replacement units should perform normally.
Steelcase customers’ units impacted by this recall are being contacted by their dealer or Steelcase representative directly. If you have not been contacted directly, you can be confident your units are not within the scope of this recall.
