Steelcase Recognized as One of America’s 50 Most Community-Minded Companies

Grand Rapids, MI, June 4, 2025 – For the eighth year, Steelcase has been named an honoree of The Civic 50 by Points of Light for being one of the 50 most community-minded companies in the United States.

The Civic 50 provides a national standard for superior corporate citizenship and showcases how companies can use their time, skills and resources to impact their communities. Sponsored by Points of Light, one of the world’s largest nonprofits dedicated to volunteer service, The Civic 50 ranks companies with annual revenues of at least $1 billion in four areas: investment of resources, integration across business functions, institutionalization through policies and systems, and impact measurement.

Steelcase has extensive involvement in community programs, including a mix of volunteer time, product and service donations, financial gifts and the integration of community commitment into business policies and practices through its Better Futures Community. This recognition shines a light on the company’s 188 community partnerships and 268 global projects in fiscal year 2025.

The company’s community commitments include:

  • Mobilizing Changemakers: Our Better Futures Community engages employee Changemakers by leveraging our global scale, resources, tools and expertise to make an impact in communities around the world.
  • Investing in Community: Our Better Futures Community Fund invests in organizations by engaging on a collaborative journey to uncover possibilities and co-create solutions.
  • Scaling Impact: The Better Futures Community designs experiences, opportunities, and activities rooted in wellbeing for people and the planet at work and the world.

“We are honored to be recognized by Points of Light for our dedication to people and the communities where they live and work,” said Kim Dabbs, Steelcase vice president of Impact. “We remain committed to creating communities where every person feels seen, heard and valued, at work and in the world. This journey toward meaningful change is fueled by collective action. We look forward to continuing to engage with our community partners to think, learn and innovate together.”
