Steelcase Inc. Named One of “World’s Most Admired Companies” by Fortune

Fortune magazine continues to recognize Steelcase Inc. in the Home Equipment and Furnishings industry sector

GRAND RAPIDS, MI, March 3, 2014 – Fortune magazine has recognized Steelcase Inc. (NYSE:SCS) as one of its 2014 “World’s Most Admired Companies” in the Home Equipment and Furnishings industry sector. This year, Steelcase is joined by notable companies including Whirlpool, Tupperware Brands and Stanley Black & Decker, among others.

In the Fortune survey of executives that ultimately determine the “Most Admired Companies” rankings, Steelcase’s highest scores came in the Innovation, Social Responsibility, Quality of Management and Quality of Products/Services categories.

For more than 100 years, Steelcase has provided innovative solutions to leading organizations from around the world. In the past year, Steelcase received additional accolades, including a recognition from the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute, as well as five 2013 “Best of NeoCon” Awards, including Gold awards for V.I.A.™, vertical intelligent architecture, the Gesture® chair and Regard™ seating, and one Innovation award.

Steelcase also remains focused on corporate social responsibility and its impact on the environment and the communities in which it operates.
