Steelcase Education Leads Real-Time Survey at 2015 SXSWedu
Leader in learning space design sponsors conference, surveys attendees on the best spaces for thinking and learning
Grand Rapids, MI, March 9, 2015 — Steelcase Education, the revolutionary leader in learning space design, is a 2015 sponsor of SXSWedu. During the four-day conference, Steelcase Education will survey attendees to find out where participants do their best thinking, what they think are the most intellectually stimulating spaces and the spaces that most effectively fuel student learning. Survey results will be displayed in real-time outside of the SXSWedu Playground so participants can compare their answers.

As part of its sponsorship, Steelcase will also develop active learning environments in the SXSWedu Playground. A casual hands-on learning space, The Playground is back for a second year to SXSWedu and will feature Steelcase Education’s state-of-the-art active learning furniture, including Node and Buoy seating and Verb tables.
Designed to fuel innovation through discovery, The Playground highlights pursuits in maker, STEM, gaming, virtual learning, accessibility and arts integration. Attendees visiting The Playground will have the opportunity to participate in facilitated instructional exercises and attend stage presentations by leading educators.
Established in 2011, SXSWedu has grown from a regional event celebrating Texas education to an internationally acclaimed platform for innovative action in the future of teaching and learning.
