Steelcase Health Expands Role For Goetz
Grand Rapids, Mich. – January 31, 2008 – Steelcase Health, a manufacturer of furniture for healthcare environments, today announced that Phyllis Goetz, vice president of sales, will lead Steelcase Health’s efforts in working with the architectural and design community in North America.
Goetz’s primary responsibility will be to foster relationships, projects and development between Steelcase Health, the design community and healthcare network organizations in North America.
“We are excited to have Phyllis in this critical role at Steelcase Health. It reflects her value to the company and shows Steelcase Health’s continued commitment to the healthcare A&D community,” said Michael Love, president of Steelcase Health.
Goetz previously served as National Sales Manager for Steelcase Healthcare, and was responsible for managing GPO contracts and promoting Steelcase Inc. to the healthcare industry at large. She joined the company in 1995.
“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to expand my work with the A&D community. I truly believe in the power of design and am excited about connecting that with Steelcase Health’s resources to produce innovative work,” said Goetz.
Before coming to Steelcase, Goetz worked with Novikoff, a high-end wood furniture manufacturer, from 1992-1995. She also held positions at CorryHiebert, a division of Hon Industries from 1986-1992 and American Seating from 1982-1986.
Goetz earned a Bachelor of Science degree, Magna Cum Laude, from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Mich., in 1981. She currently serves on the Rice Building Institute; sits on the Evidence-based Design and Assessment Certification (EDAC) Board at the Center for Health Design; and participates with the Planetree Organization and American Academy of Healthcare Interior Designers.
