Hopper Picnic
The Hopper picnic table clearly bears resembles to the traditional picnic tables everybody knows, but as is typical of Extremis it offers extra comfort. The four pass through zones make it easy to get in and out of Hopper without having to lift your leg over the bench or disturbing your table-companions. Its slanted legs and tabletop edges are a clear reference to the hop poles that are so characteristic of the Westhoek region. If you turn around, you can use the tabletop as a comfortable backrest.
Ikat Dot Wallcovering
Ikat Dot takes inspiration from the traditional textile process that uses resist dyed yarns to create patterning. In Ikat Dot wallcovering, organic clusters of overlapping forms painted on silk simulate the convergence of dyed warp and weft. The pattern combines the languages of painting, weaving, and digital printing to create a modern organic surface material.
Madera Wallcovering
Madera, Spanish for wood, brings the outside in with its soft, wood grain. Both the repeat and coloration of this wallcovering were selected to emulate natural woods. Available in eight neutral colors (including colorways like Walnut and Char), Madera has a vertical repeat effect that intentionally emulates paneled wood.
Pediment Wallcovering
Pediment’s design alludes to its architectural definition. The patterned emboss provides a textured structure and blurs the line between architecture- and textile-inspired designs. Pediment can also read like a woven herringbone; a play on classic menswear for vertical surfaces. The emboss is textural yet clean and colors offered reflect changing fashions: a combination of new warm neutrals, classic cool greys and a selection of blues, like Denim and Turquoise.
Color Bars Wallcovering
Color bars balances a simple dash motif oriented vertically and horizontally with an organic and randomized pattern structure. Inspired by fractals and movement, the pattern plays with visual complexity through rhythm and variation in color and relationships. Based on Biophilic Design principles documented by Steelcase researchers, a suble sense of movement is stimulating and rejuvinating.
