Because we believe in the power of place in shaping human behavior, we design new places and update existing ones in order to represent — and transform — how we work and how we create things. Steelcase also believes innovation is the key to future competitiveness, and so we are in the process of creating the Munich Learning + Innovation Center that will reinforce our desire to be a global, insight-driven company.

This place will not only foster our company’s innovation, it will be a place to host customers, architects, designers and others who come to collaborate around innovation, or who wish to explore some of the emerging ideas around how space might be used.

The center will also host learning opportunities for our employees, as Steelcase continues to heavily invest in the ongoing development of its people.

Who we are

For more than 100 years, Steelcase has been the world’s leading office furniture company, and we aspire to be even more. Our purpose is to unlock human promise by helping organizations to create great experiences in the places where their work happens. By studying how people work and by bringing human insights to the places where they work, we help organizations to achieve a higher level of performance.

What we do

The center will be designed to providing inspiration at every step of the innovation process, from designing and developing an idea, to prototyping and refining a concept.

We’re looking for people who will help us recognize and apply insights about the world of work to our products and applications. Our Learning + Innovation Center in Munich will provide inspiration at every step of the innovation process, from designing and developing an idea, to prototyping and refining a concept.

Watch the videos to see examples and results of our design thinking approach, narrated by residents and executives who will be working alongside you.
