The new Cobi chair, designed in association with leading studio PearsonLloyd , has reached the finals of this year’s FX Awards in the workplace seating category.

The prestigious FX Awards invite both British and international design talent from all over the world to enter the very best of interior products and projects. Cobi is a key part of Steelcase’s Collaboration range, launched earlier this year. The chair encourages movement and supports a variety of postures. With only one adjustment (seat height), and a mechanism that is weight-activated and senses and supports your own center of gravity, anyone can get comfortable quickly.

Cobi designer Luke Pearson of London-based PearsonLloyd who worked with Steelcase to create the Cobi said “Catering to a new mode of working, Cobi offers freedom and comfort, spontaneously adjusting to a variety of postures and ultimately recharging the user to remain connected in collaborative environments.”

The awards will take place in London on November 24th – be the first to find out the result here on November 25th!
