Steelcase to Host CEFPI 2010 Conference

Conference to Discuss Changes in Educational Institutions

Grand Rapids, MI – May 6, 2010 – Steelcase, (NYSE:SCS), a global office environments manufacturer, today announced it is the host site for the Council for Education and Facilities Planners International 2010 Midwest Great Lakes Regional Conference. Titled “Relearning Learning = Relearning²”, the goal of the two-day conference is to highlight the changing face of learning, demonstrating what learning environments need to be and how to work within them.

Over thirty-five sessions will be scheduled throughout the two-day conference and will cover topics such as teaching, design for learning styles, space planning, sustainable schools, technology and research as they pertain to learning and learning environments. The conference will be held at the Steelcase Learning and Exploration Center at 901 W. 44th St. SE, Grand Rapids, Michigan and will include optional tours of the facility and the innovative learning environments it offers.

Key note speakers Professor Stephen Heppell, Chair of New Media Environments at Bournemouth University, and Doctor Yong Zhao, a University Distinguished Professor of the College of Education at Michigan State University will be featured at the conference.
