Educational Session
Enhancing Physical Wellbeing in Learning Spaces
Physical activity has been connected with improved concentration, cognitive acuity, positive emotions and productivity. Through a collaboration between Virginia Tech and Steelcase, the multidisciplinary research team explored the following questions: How can learner and educator wellness benefits be promoted in learning spaces through design and how can holistic design interventions play a role in encouraging physically active behavior? This research delves into how these wellness themes could be promoted through design and behavior change strategies.
