Steelcase Strengthens Global Presence with Refreshed WorkLife Showroom in Singapore
The new space aims to engage leaders, designers and architects, and help businesses create workplaces that foster community, enhance wellbeing, and enable peak performance.

Singapore, 28 May 2025 – Steelcase, a global design and thought leader in the world of work, today announces the re-opening of its WorkLife showroom in Singapore, reaffirming its commitment to creating better work experiences across the Asia-Pacific region.
Located in UE Square at #07-01, 83 Clemenceau Ave, the new Steelcase WorkLife showroom brings to life the company’s broad portfolio of solutions, demonstrating how thoughtfully designed environments can support the evolving needs of today’s workforce.
Work has changed more in the past five years than it has in generations, and this rapid transformation is taking a toll. Change fatigue is affecting employee engagement and slowing productivity growth. Steelcase research has identified four macro shifts that are fundamentally reshaping work and will continue to do so for years to come.
- Living on Screen: Digital interactions now dominate, with 56% of meetings including remote participants. Even when in the office, people often join meetings from their desks rather than walk to a private room.
- AI Supercycle: AI adoption is accelerating—75% of employees now use it daily to boost efficiency and creativity. Yet, over half of leaders feel unprepared, lacking a clear AI strategy.
- Sustainability Mindset: Companies are doubling down on climate goals, with science-based carbon targets on the rise. Flexible, reusable workplace design can support these ambitions.
- Wellbeing Urgency: Globally, 66% of employees aren’t thriving. As mental health challenges grow, people expect employers to support both mental and physical well-being.
Organisations can use the workplace as a strategic asset to help people and teams adapt and thrive during periods of change by fostering community at work. When people feel a sense of community at work, they have higher levels of engagement, productivity and wellbeing – all of which positively impact a business’s bottom line.
Steelcase believes that creating thriving workplace communities starts with deeply understanding people and how they work. By recognising how these four macro shifts influence behaviour, the renovated showroom aims to engage business decision makers and inspire smarter workspace strategies. It will showcase a range of interconnected spaces tailored to the different types of work people and teams engage in throughout the day. Visitors will be able to experience the different spaces for private focus work, collaboration, hybrid working, rejuvenation, informal conversations, and more.
The revamped showroom also reflects Steelcase’s commitment to creating better futures for both people and the planet. It brings to life the company’s sustainability goals—from designing for circularity and reducing its carbon footprint, to choosing materials responsibly and fostering inclusive, thriving communities. Each element of the space reflects Steelcase’s belief that workplaces should not only support performance and wellbeing but also contribute positively to the world around us.
Peter Lewchanin, President, Asia Pacific at Steelcase said: “We are thrilled to introduce our newest WorkLife showroom in Singapore, a dynamic community that represents the intersection of innovation and cultural diversity. This space is more than a showroom — it’s a platform for discovery and co-creation, where we invite our clients and partners to explore new ideas for how the workplace can empower people and enrich communities.”
