New Steelcase Solutions Receive NeoCon 2019 Awards

Judges awarded Steelcase Flex Collection and Steelcase Roam with top honors

Steelcase announced Steelcase Flex Collection and Steelcase Roam, two recently introduced innovative solutions that empower teams to collaborate in new ways, have been awarded top honors at Neocon 2019. The awards presented by Contract Magazine honor the top new commercial interiors products introduced to the market. Steelcase and its family of brands including Coalesse and Designtex won four Best of NeoCon Awards in all, two #MetropolisLikes Awards, and three HiP Awards and Honors presented by Interior Design.

Steelcase® Flex Collection won Gold in Best of NeoCon for Furniture Collections for Collaboration. Designtex Awards

The Biophilia 2.0 Collection by Designtex, comprised of ten woven and coated textile healthcare upholstery designs, utilizes biophilic design principles to bring a sense of calm, clarity and connectedness to healthcare environments.

The Metallic Wallcovering Collection by Designtex, comprised of four new digitally printed wallcovering designs, utilizes ephemeral handmade surface techniques from paper marbling and diluted layers of ink to peeling linen and crackled paint. These textures were transformed through digital printing into durable metallic wallcoverings.

Designtex won Best of NeoCon Gold for the Biophilia 2.0 Collection in the Healthcare Fabrics and Textiles category. Judges also awarded Designtex with Silver for the Metallic Wallcovering Collection in the Wall Treatments category.

Steelcase Flex Collection, and the Bauhaus Project (seen above) by Designtex are also 2019 #MetropolisLikes Award winners, selected by Metropolis editors. The award acknowledges top spaces, products and design solutions that are unexpected, useful and beautiful. The Bauhaus Project also won the HiP Award for Workplace: Fabric and Textiles.
