An important part of our stated mission here at Steelcase Health is to work with leading healthcare organizations to create places and experiences that help people encounter greater connection, empathy and wellbeing. In that spirit, we would like to introduce and start building excitement for something we’re calling Health Innovation Week.
The first event of Health Innovation Week is Transform 2014, hosted by the Center for Innovation at the Mayo Clinic September 7th-9th. Steelcase Health is a silver-level sponsor of the conference, and as a part of that support, we designed an enhanced Forum space for the attendees to network and mingle during breaks, as well as the seating at the front of the theatre. Transform is a multidisciplinary conference for thought-provoking, inspiring ideas, and the audience is a dynamic mix of innovators, leaders, designers, entrepreneurs, policymakers and business thinkers. Steelcase Health has attended the conference in the past, and with this year being the 150th anniversary of the Mayo Clinic, it is sure to be a great one!
The second half of Health Innovation Week is TEDMED 2014. This diverse community of thinkers, innovators and entrepreneurs convenes September 10th-12th in both Washington DC and San Francisco, a dual approach they are billing as “one event, two stages”. With the goal to unlock imagination in the service of health and medicine, Steelcase Health is again a contributing partner to TEDMED, and we designed and furnished many of their delegate and partner interactive and simulcast spaces.
The ability to simulcast the conference is particularly exciting. All Steelcase employees and dealers may experience TEDMEDLive simulcasts, in group gatherings or individually via personal devices, at no cost. Let us know if you’d like to attend a simulcast, and we can inform you of the nearest location!
Stay tuned for updates as Health Innovation Week approaches!
