Il signifie qu\u2019aucune d\u00e9cision affectant un groupe d\u2019individus ne devrait \u00eatre prise sans la participation directe des personnes concern\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-72739 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/images.steelcase.com\/image\/upload\/c_limit,dpr_auto,q_70,h_1024,w_1024\/v1665200821\/22-0184162.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0On ne pratique pas le design inclusif dans son coin. Une collaboration la plus ouverte possible permet d\u2019assimiler et d\u2019exploiter les connaissances partag\u00e9es, indique Kamara Sudberry, responsable du design inclusif chez Steelcase. Il s\u2019agit d\u2019une d\u00e9marche d\u2019am\u00e9lioration continue, et nous sommes conscients du chemin qu\u2019il nous reste \u00e0 parcourir.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Ainsi, Steelcase travaille avec de grandes organisations afin d\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer son processus d\u2019apprentissage (voir la section Partenaires communautaires). Ces partenaires sont inestimables car ils permettent \u00e0 Kamara Sudberry et \u00e0 ses coll\u00e8gues d\u2019\u00e9couter et d\u2019observer afin de d\u00e9velopper des pratiques plus inclusives.<\/p>\n<p>Les enqu\u00eates, les interviews, les tables rondes et les exercices de conception reposant sur la confiance, le respect et l\u2019empathie aident \u00e0 imaginer de futurs espaces de travail r\u00e9pondant aux besoins de chacun.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00c9quit\u00e9 vs. \u00e9galit\u00e9<\/h2>\n<p>La plan\u00e8te compte pr\u00e8s de 8 milliards d\u2019\u00eatres humains. Pourtant, pendant des d\u00e9cennies, le design s\u2019est focalis\u00e9 sur la norme en proposant \u00e0 tous la m\u00eame exp\u00e9rience. Ainsi, les espaces de travail constitu\u00e9s de rang\u00e9es de bureaux et de si\u00e8ges visent l\u2019\u00e9galit\u00e9. Mais cette d\u00e9marche suppose que tous les individus travaillent de la m\u00eame mani\u00e8re, en m\u00eame temps et au m\u00eame endroit. Or, ce n\u2019est pas le cas. La collaboration hybride d\u00e9montre une fois de plus que les employ\u00e9s aspirent \u00e0 plus de choix et de contr\u00f4le de leur exp\u00e9rience de travail.<\/p>\n<p>Elle nous offre l\u2019opportunit\u00e9 d\u2019adopter une d\u00e9marche plus inclusive afin de concevoir les espaces en se concentrant sur l\u2019\u00e9quit\u00e9. Id\u00e9alement, il fait partie int\u00e9grante de la culture et de l\u2019espace des organisations. Il encourage les individus \u00e0 s\u2019exprimer et \u00e0 participer.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab La premi\u00e8re \u00e9tape consiste \u00e0 reconna\u00eetre l\u2019exclusion\u00a0\u00bb, souligne Kat Holmes, autrice de <i>Mismatch: How Inclusion Shapes Design<\/i>. Identifier les personnes mises \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cart permet de leur donner la parole pour nommer les obstacles et co-d\u00e9velopper des solutions.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019exclusion peut notamment r\u00e9sulter de barri\u00e8res physiques, cognitives et culturelles. Elle comporte souvent diff\u00e9rentes dimensions en fonction de l\u2019identit\u00e9 de la personne et de son exp\u00e9rience de la vie. Or, repenser la fa\u00e7on d\u2019inclure ces \u00ab\u00a0oubli\u00e9s\u00a0\u00bb est au c\u0153ur de l\u2019innovation et permet d\u2019\u00e9liminer une ou plusieurs formes d\u2019exclusion.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Il est temps d\u2019adopter une approche beaucoup plus personnalis\u00e9e, affirme Kamara Sudberry. En renfor\u00e7ant le choix et le contr\u00f4le, nous permettons aux individus de trouver l\u2019espace et le mode de travail qui leur conviennent le mieux.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Partenaires
