Aujourd\u2019hui, il est primordial de r\u00e9unir les atouts de la technologie et les talents des individus de mani\u00e8re flexible, inclusive et centr\u00e9e sur l\u2019humain. \u00c0 travers un partenariat avec l\u2019initiative mondiale pour des TIC inclusives (G3ict), Steelcase a men\u00e9 des enqu\u00eates quantitatives et qualitatives en vue d\u2019\u00e9tablir un guide sur la cr\u00e9ation des espaces inclusifs de demain.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Ce guide offre une vision de la situation future, mais il a aussi vocation \u00e0 faciliter la compr\u00e9hension par tous de l\u2019ensemble des facteurs qui contribuent \u00e0 fa\u00e7onner les espaces dans le monde entier, explique Kim Dabbs, vice-pr\u00e9sidente de l\u2019innovation sociale chez Steelcase. Dans ce guide, le handicap est d\u00e9fini comme une d\u00e9ficience physique, mentale, intellectuelle ou sensorielle durable qui, associ\u00e9e \u00e0 divers obstacles, est susceptible d\u2019affecter la capacit\u00e9 d\u2019int\u00e9gration \u00e0 la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 des personnes concern\u00e9es.<span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW82841650 BCX0\">[i]<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Les individus porteurs de handicap sont la communaut\u00e9 la plus repr\u00e9sentative de la diversit\u00e9 dans toutes ses composantes \u2013 \u00e2ge, type de handicap, situation \u00e9conomique, niveau d\u2019instruction, appartenance ethnique et identit\u00e9 de genre.[ii] En outre, les enqu\u00eates montrent que ces individus ont \u00e9t\u00e9 plus durement touch\u00e9s par la pand\u00e9mie que la population g\u00e9n\u00e9rale. Aux \u00c9tats-Unis, un salari\u00e9 handicap\u00e9 sur cinq a perdu son emploi durant la crise sanitaire, et cette situation aura sans doute pour cons\u00e9quence un creusement des in\u00e9galit\u00e9s \u00e0 long terme.[iii][iv]<\/p>\n<p>La recherche se fonde sur une analyse documentaire, une enqu\u00eate internationale, une s\u00e9rie de tables rondes sur le design centr\u00e9 sur l\u2019humain (auxquelles ont particip\u00e9 un groupe d\u2019experts tri\u00e9s sur le volet) et des entretiens individuels qualitatifs.<\/p>\n<h3>Principales conclusions :<\/h3>\n<p>Seules 49 %[v] des personnes interrog\u00e9es estiment que la notion d\u2019espace de travail inclusif est bien comprise et communiqu\u00e9e au sein de leur secteur d\u2019activit\u00e9 (contre 64 % pour la notion d\u2019espace s\u00fbr et 53 % pour celle d\u2019espace inspirant).<\/p>\n<p>Selon les participants \u00e0 l\u2019enqu\u00eate, les trois principales composantes des espaces de travail inclusifs sont les suivantes :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>61 %<\/strong> &#8211; repr\u00e9sentativit\u00e9 de la diversit\u00e9 dans toutes les fonctions<\/li>\n<li><strong>45 %<\/strong> &#8211; accessibilit\u00e9 des produits, des technologies et des syst\u00e8mes<\/li>\n<li><strong>45 %<\/strong> &#8211; accessibilit\u00e9 des espaces<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Pour les participants en situation de handicap, l\u2019accessibilit\u00e9 des technologies et des espaces est plus importante que la repr\u00e9sentativit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Toujours selon les participants \u00e0 l\u2019enqu\u00eate, les principaux avantages des espaces inclusifs sont les suivants :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>80 %<\/strong> &#8211; augmentation de la satisfaction des employ\u00e9s<\/li>\n<li><strong>65 %<\/strong> &#8211; augmentation de la capacit\u00e9 d\u2019innovation<\/li>\n<li><strong>53 %<\/strong> &#8211; augmentation de la productivit\u00e9 des individus et des \u00e9quipes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00ab Dans le cadre de cette initiative, nous savions qu\u2019il \u00e9tait essentiel de relier les donn\u00e9es au v\u00e9cu des individus, souligne James Thurston, vice-pr\u00e9sident de la strat\u00e9gie et du d\u00e9veloppement de l\u2019initiative G3ict.
