Pero siempre ha tenido ciertas limitaciones. Requiere una estructura de soporte, capas y curado para crear objetos. Esas necesidades hacen que sea un proceso lento, de peque\u00f1a escala y baja calidad. El Laboratorio de autoensamblado, fundado por Skylar Tibbits, profesor adjunto del MIT, y codirigido por Jared Laucks, ten\u00eda como objetivo crear un nuevo proceso que mejorase la velocidad, el tama\u00f1o y la calidad de los materiales.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abLos socios de la industria son realmente importantes para nosotros\u00bb, afirma Tibbits. \u00abNos aportan insights, desaf\u00edos, relevancia y una especializaci\u00f3n sectorial que no tenemos\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Tras meses de trabajo en el proyecto con Steelcase, surgi\u00f3 una nueva e innovadora t\u00e9cnica. Este proceso imprime dentro de un gel, lo que permite esencialmente al dise\u00f1ador de productos dibujar en 3D sin las limitaciones de la gravedad. Como no se utiliza el tradicional material de soporte, estructura ni capas, el proceso de impresi\u00f3n es mucho m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido y puede ser tan grande como la m\u00e1quina de que se disponga. Tambi\u00e9n hay un proceso de mezclado de dos partes que permite que el material se cure qu\u00edmicamente en lugar de establecerse mediante luz o temperatura. Liquid Printing process. <\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div><!-- .cover-image-companion -->\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><!-- .slide -->\n\n\t\t<\/div><!-- .panel-type-slider -->\n<p>En la Semana del Dise\u00f1o de Mil\u00e1n, el equipo del Laboratorio de autoensamblado del MIT y Christophe Guberan mostraron el proceso que hay tras la creaci\u00f3n del tablero mediante este innovador proceso de impresi\u00f3n 3D. Tibbits dijo que tardaron unos 28 minutos en imprimir el complejo dise\u00f1o del tablero de las mesas Bassline. En otro experimento, el equipo pudo imprimir en 10 minutos una estructura con Impresi\u00f3n l\u00edquida r\u00e1pida que tardaba 50 horas en producirse utilizando otro proceso de impresi\u00f3n 3D. El tipo de dise\u00f1o, material y tama\u00f1o afectan a la velocidad de impresi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<h3>\u00bfQU\u00c9 SER\u00c1 LO SIGUIENTE?<\/h3>\n<p>Este nuevo proceso de impresi\u00f3n, aunque de momento es un experimento, muestra el potencial para usar en el futuro una clase de materiales que tengan las mismas propiedades que los productos del mundo real.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abComo dise\u00f1ador, lo que es m\u00e1s fascinante y \u00fanico sobre la impresi\u00f3n l\u00edquida r\u00e1pida es la calidad de l\u00ednea de la impresi\u00f3n. Es suave, casi org\u00e1nica. Evoca im\u00e1genes de pinceladas o las ramas de las plantas\u00bb, dice Yuka Hiyoshi, dise\u00f1ador industrial s\u00e9nior de turnstone. \u00abLa velocidad de impresi\u00f3n es asombrosa. En un futuro lejano, objetos de gran escala podr\u00edan llegar a imprimirse en cuesti\u00f3n de minutos en lugar de d\u00edas. Tampoco est\u00e1 limitado al material t\u00edpico de impresi\u00f3n 3D, lo que hace que esta tecnolog\u00eda sea muy deseable desde una perspectiva de dise\u00f1o\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>La colaboraci\u00f3n entre Steelcase y el MIT seguir\u00e1 buscando m\u00e1s respuestas en lo referente a materiales, escala y mejora del proceso de impresi\u00f3n. Tambi\u00e9n ser\u00e1 importante determinar el producto u objeto \u00f3ptimo a imprimir, uno que saque el m\u00e1ximo partido de este nuevo proceso.<\/p>\n<p>Steelcase y MIT son socios de investigaci\u00f3n desde hace mucho tiempo con un largo historial de estudio del futuro del espacio de trabajo.
