To mark this growth over the last century the French company built a new corporate headquarter combining the four cornerstones of its corporate culture: innovation, design, sustainability and technology.<\/p>\n<p>The new office, a five-storey building \u2013 about 12,000 m2 \u2013 for 600 employees, is located in Alcobendas a town just outside of Madrid.<\/p>\n<p>The main objective when it came to design the new workspace was to support collaboration. To achieve this, 80 meeting rooms were created varying sizes, privacy and equipment. Now spontaneous interaction can also take place in corridors and transit areas, where informal meeting zones invite colleagues to interact. Furthermore, the new space encourages employees to change postures, one is able to work either standing or sitting depending on the type of activity.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-50966 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/steelcase-res.cloudinary.com\/image\/upload\/c_limit,dpr_auto,q_70,h_1024,w_1024\/v1519307828\/www.steelcase.com\/eu-es\/2018\/02\/22\/0153baja-e1519307827543.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/p>\n<p>All areas are equipped with WLAN and cloud-based work platforms to foster mobility throughout the entire office.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-50965 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/steelcase-res.cloudinary.com\/image\/upload\/c_limit,dpr_auto,q_70,h_1024,w_1024\/v1519308672\/www.steelcase.com\/eu-es\/2018\/02\/22\/0326baja.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Employees as well as managers don\u2019t have any assigned workstations. As a result, communication has become more transparent and influences the company culture positively.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-50963 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/steelcase-res.cloudinary.com\/image\/upload\/c_limit,dpr_auto,q_70,h_1024,w_1024\/v1519886778\/www.steelcase.com\/eu-es\/2018\/03\/01\/0350baja.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Promoting well-being and boosting creativity were among the top priorities when the new workspace was designed.
